Job Description
Job Summary Looking for an RD to provide consulting coverage for a nursing home in Eufaula. Responsibilities include admissions, annuals, significant changes, high-risk follow-ups, care planning, and general clinical nutrition oversight. LTC experience is preferred, but open to an RD with strong clinical experience who is willing to learn LTC documentation and regulations. Great opportunity for an RD looking to add consulting income without taking on a traditional full-time position. Qualifications Current Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Alabama licensure or eligibility to practice in Alabama. Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred. Familiarity with MDS, care planning, significant weight-change criteria, nutrition support, and CMS long-term-care requirements preferred. Strong clinical documentation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage assigned resident reviews within established deadlines. Professional liability insurance as required for independent-contractor practice.
