Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Private Practice Nourish & Bloom Nutrition | Portland, OregonPart-time with opportunity to grow | $45-$65/hour | Flexible start date, early 2027 preferred About Nourish & Bloom Nutrition Nourish & Bloom Nutrition is a growing private nutrition practice based in Portland, Oregon, with a mission to provide individualized, evidence-based nutrition counseling grounded in a weight-inclusive, compassionate approach to care. Clients present a range of nutrition needs, including disordered eating and eating disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, metabolic health concerns, women's health, and general nutrition support. We believe effective nutrition care should consider the whole person: Their health, relationship with food, culture, resources, preferences, and everyday life. At this time, clients are primarily seen via telehealth throughout Oregon and Washington, with limited in-person appointments available in SW Portland. We are looking for a personable Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join the practice. This position is ideal for an RD who values individualized care, enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients, and is excited to continue developing as a clinician within a supportive private-practice environment. The Position This role will begin part-time, with the opportunity to grow toward a larger caseload or full-time position as the practice expands. The position includes both client-facing and paid administrative time , with flexibility in scheduling. Depending on client demand and clinician availability, care may be provided through a combination of telehealth and in-person visits in Portland. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently while also valuing collaboration, mentorship, case consultation, and ongoing professional development. Responsibilities Provide individualized, evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition counseling to adult clients. Assess nutrition needs, develop interventions, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans using the Nutrition Care Process. Provide practical, approachable nutrition education tailored to each client's health needs, preferences, resources, cooking skills, and relationship with food. Support clients with a range of conditions, which may include type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, kidney and liver disease, IBS/IBD, PCOS, menopause, and other health concerns. Recognize and screen for disordered eating and eating disorders and refer or collaborate with appropriate providers when needed. Interpret relevant laboratory data and make appropriate nutrition, supplement, and adjunctive recommendations within scope of practice. Develop client resources such as meal ideas, recipe collections, and educational handouts. Use clinical judgment to determine appropriate visit frequency and make independent clinical decisions regarding ongoing care. Complete accurate, timely documentation using SimplePractice. Collaborate with the practice owner and other providers through regular supervision, case consultation, and team meetings. Maintain current knowledge of nutrition science, evidence-based practice, and relevant clinical guidelines. Qualifications Required Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Bachelor's degree or higher in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field. Licensed in Oregon and licensed in Washington or willing to obtain Washington licensure. Able to maintain all required professional licenses and credentials. Experience providing nutrition counseling to adults. Comfortable using Medical Nutrition Therapy and the Nutrition Care Process. Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing and client-centered counseling approaches. Commitment to compassionate, non-stigmatizing, weight-inclusive care; HAES-aligned Comfortable supporting clients with varying financial resources and levels of food access. Able to identify when a client's needs fall outside your scope or expertise and collaborate with or refer to other providers appropriately. Must have a private, quiet, HIPAA-compliant home workspace for telehealth sessions. Located in the greater Portland area and able to provide in-person care as demand requires. Preferred Master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field Eating disorder and/or disordered eating experience Oregon and Washington licensure Experience interpreting laboratory results and making evidence-based supplement recommendations Experience with complex medical nutrition therapy Interest or experience working with adolescents Compensation & Benefits $45-$65/hour for client-facing care , depending on experience. Paid administrative time (at administrative rate) for documentation, emails, meetings, networking, and other practice-related responsibilities Flexible schedule and autonomy in structuring workdays Part-time position with opportunity to increase hours as caseload grows Paid time off through an hours-worked accrual system Continuing education budget Regular one-on-one supervision and mentorship with the practice owner.
