About the Position This is a PRN, in-person position at a behavioral health hospital in South Austin. You will be providing Medical Nutrition therapy and effective Nutrition Counseling to adults and adolescent patients. We offer a flexible schedule, paid on-site training and orientation is provided, along with ongoing support and communication. Join our team, and make a positive impact on patient's health during their recovery! The successful RD candidate will be a good communicator, with sensitivity for patients with mental health struggles. An ability to work independently is crucial. Roles and Responsibilities Conduct Nutrition Assessments and follow ups for patients at nutritional risk Provide individualized, evidence based nutrition counseling to patients Accurately document patient assessments and care plans in Medical Records Conduct regular dietary department audits and kitchen inspections Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team of physicians, therapists, nursing and dietary staff
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Nutrition or relevant field Licensed Dietitian in the State of Texas Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Strong communication skills, and ability to work independently
Preferred:
Experience in/knowledge of behavioral health Clinical Nutrition experience
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
