Contract with Potential for Permanent Hire A leading healthcare organization in Houston is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian II to support a highly specialized pediatric clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dietitian with strong clinical nutrition experience, particularly in TPN and pediatric care, to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment within a respected healthcare setting. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pediatric patient outcomes while working alongside interdisciplinary healthcare professionals dedicated to excellence in care delivery. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for pediatric patients with low to high-complexity nutritional needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans Provide advanced nutrition counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary care teams Support disease management through evidence-based nutritional interventions Maintain accurate and compliant patient documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards Customize educational materials to improve patient understanding and engagement Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on optimizing patient outcomes Assist with training and mentoring team members in specialized nutrition care practices Promote nutrition services and contribute to program development initiatives Preferred Clinical Experience Pediatric TPN experience strongly preferred TPN experience required Pediatric nephrology experience is a plus Experience working in complex clinical or hospital-based nutrition settings highly valued Required Qualifications Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Licensed Dietitian in the State of Texas (or eligible for licensure) Minimum of 3 years of Registered Dietitian experience Graduate of an accredited nutrition or dietetics education program Strong knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and evidence-based clinical nutrition practices Excellent communication, counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and varying health literacy levels What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out Opportunity to work with a respected pediatric clinical team in Houston Collaborative and supportive healthcare environment Meaningful work impacting pediatric patient health outcomes Stable weekday schedule with strong work-life balance Potential for long-term or permanent placement Competitive hourly compensation Additional Information Candidates must reside and work in the State of Texas This position requires adherence to healthcare safety and compliance protocols Background and security screenings may be required in accordance with applicable regulations Qualified candidates with pediatric clinical nutrition and TPN experience are encouraged to apply today.
