MSN PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Irvine, CA | $135,000 Per Year A university based in Irvine, CA is seeking a Program Director to lead its Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program, overseeing both the MSN-Ed and MSN-FNP tracks. This role combines academic leadership, curriculum oversight, and accreditation compliance with a continued presence in graduate-level teaching. Compensation $135,000 per year. What You'll Do The Program Director provides day to day operational oversight of the MSN program across both the MSN-Ed and MSN-FNP tracks, directing curriculum design, evaluation, and continuous improvement in alignment with national graduate nursing competencies such as AACN Essentials and NONPF, as well as evolving healthcare workforce needs. This role ensures ongoing compliance with CCNE accreditation standards, California Board of Registered Nursing regulations, and institutional policy, including preparing self-studies, reports, and site visits. The Program Director recruits, mentors, develops, and evaluates faculty across both tracks, and works to advance student success through data informed strategies for admissions, progression, retention, and academic support. This person establishes and sustains clinical partnerships and preceptor networks to secure practicum placements for FNP and nursing education students, and leads systematic program assessment and reporting on student outcomes, quality measures, and institutional effectiveness. The role also includes teaching graduate level nursing courses as appropriate to expertise and program needs.
