Vintage Faire Nursing and Rehab is seeking an experienced, leadership-driven Director of Nursing to manage and direct our Nursing Services Department. Manage all aspects of the Nursing Services Department, including establishing staffing levels, developing schedules, and managing work assignments.
Quality Assurance:
Lead clinical rounds, review medical record documentation for accuracy, and observe medication passes/treatments to ensure top-tier care.
Compliance & Surveys:
Prepare for and participate in facility inspections by government agencies, and partner with the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee to correct deficiencies.
Team Leadership:
Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring nursing personnel (Licensed Nurses and CNAs) while resolving grievances fairly.
Care Planning:
Direct the development of written preliminary and comprehensive care plans identifying goals and specialized services for each resident.
Operational Duties:
Oversee the infection control program, maintain inventory levels for medications/supplies, and participate in core facility committees.
Note:
If the facility operating census drops to 59 patients or less, the DON will provide direct patient care as needed.
2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital, long-term care, or related facility is preferred.
Supervisory Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Certificates & Licenses:
Must possess an active, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Other Essential Skills:
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently. Strong leadership capability with the ability to handle difficult situations with tact, patience, and a cheerful disposition. Knowledgeable in medical practices, nursing procedures, and regulations governing long-term care. Must provide evidence of being free of tuberculosis (TB) infection upon hire.
