Job Summary A skilled nursing facility is seeking an energetic and visionary Director of Nursing to lead our healthcare team with passion and strategic insight. Duties Provide strategic planning and leadership to develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards aligned with organizational goals. Oversee staff supervision, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and fostering professional growth among nursing personnel. Ensure compliance with all CA and federal laws and healthcare regulations to uphold accreditation standards and legal requirements. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop initiatives that enhance clinical operations, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement. Lead instructional and organizational leadership efforts to promote best practices in nursing care and education within the organization. Facilitate team management by promoting a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and accountability. Maintain effective communication channels across departments to support seamless operations and continuous quality improvement efforts. Requirements Current RN nursing license. Should be available by phone 24/7 for emergencies. Proven successful management experience in a healthcare setting, ideally prior skilled nursing experience. Strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational management within a skilled nursing environment. Sufficient Knowledge of Minimum Data Set (MDS); PDPM; Title 22 Regulations and OBRA Regulations. Experienced in dealing and managing California Department of Public Health surveys. Able to professionally and confidently interact with Surveyors. Knowledge of PCC EMR system. Experience leading teams through change management initiatives with excellent communication skills. Proven ability to develop policies that support compliance, safety, and quality standards across complex organizations.
