We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to join our skilled nursing team. What You'll Do Provide leadership, direction, and support to the nursing department Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and help ensure adequate staffing and appropriate assignment of nursing personnel Support and mentor RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other members of the nursing team Promote high-quality, compassionate, resident-centered care Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement Participate in assessments, care planning, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities Ensure nursing services are provided in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, facility procedures, and applicable regulations Help maintain compliance with federal and state requirements and standards of practice Collaborate with the Administrator, Medical Director, Social Services, Therapy, Dietary, Activities, and other departments to support comprehensive resident care Assist with managing and responding to changes in resident condition, clinical concerns, incidents, and other nursing-related issues Provide guidance and follow-up related to infection prevention and control, wound care, medication management, falls, documentation, and other clinical areas Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of nursing staff Help create an environment where staff feel supported, accountable, and equipped to provide excellent care Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, staff, and leadership Participate in surveys, audits, regulatory visits, and preparation for ongoing compliance Serve as a clinical leader and resource for the nursing department What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is clinically knowledgeable, organized, approachable, and comfortable leading a busy nursing department.

The ideal candidate:

Holds a current RN license in the state of Colorado Has previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting Understands the unique clinical and operational needs of skilled nursing Has strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and nursing standards of practice Is confident making decisions and addressing problems as they arise Can prioritize competing demands without losing sight of resident care Communicates clearly and professionally with staff, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members Is comfortable providing coaching, accountability, and constructive feedback Has strong organizational and documentation skills Leads by example and treats staff with professionalism and respect Is willing to be visible and engaged with the nursing team—not just manage from an office Why Join Us?
