River Garden Hebrew Home, an award-winning, not-for-profit, five-star nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Jacksonville's beautiful Mandarin area, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Services Department. Position Summary The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall administration, planning, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services within River Garden Hebrew Home.. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to ensure the highest standards of resident care while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and accountability. Promote resident-centered care and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and community stakeholders Develop, direct, and administer all aspects of Nursing Services Provide oversight of Quality Management and Risk Management programs. Ensure compliance with AHCA, Joint Commission, and all other regulatory requirements related to long-term care. Plan, develop, and manage the Nursing Services departmental budget. Qualifications Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license Previous leadership experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or other senior nursing leadership role in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting Strong knowledge of AHCA regulations, Joint Commission standards, and long-term care compliance requirements Demonstrated success in staff development, quality improvement, and clinical operations management Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Budget and staffing management experience preferred We Offer At River Garden, we value our team members and provide a supportive environment where employees can thrive.
