$95,000 - $115,000 annually Lead Clinical Excellence and Elevate Resident Care Vista Manor Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations, ensure high-quality resident care, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of clinical excellence. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall management and supervision of nursing services. Oversee and support daily clinical operations to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate resident care. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Conduct clinical rounds and follow up on resident needs, changes in condition, and care concerns. Monitor resident care plans, clinical documentation, and quality indicators for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Assist with staff scheduling, assignments, and coverage needs to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate staff education, in-service training, orientation, and competency programs . Identify educational needs and provide ongoing training to promote clinical excellence and regulatory compliance. Support infection prevention and control programs, including surveillance, monitoring, education, reporting, and implementation of best practices. Monitor compliance with infection prevention policies and federal and state guidelines. Assist with survey preparation, regulatory compliance, audits, and corrective action plans. Support the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and clinical best practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes and quality of care. Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and professional development. Review nursing documentation and clinical records to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Help identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective action plans. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Current Florida RN license in good standing. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting. Previous experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), Staff Educator, Infection Preventionist/Infection Control Nurse, or similar nursing leadership role strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience with staff education, clinical training, and competency development. Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices in a skilled nursing environment. Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of federal and Florida long-term care regulations and survey requirements. Infection Control Certificate preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to mentor, motivate, and develop nursing staff.
