Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Director of Nursing for a long-term care facility. This leadership role requires a highly skilled professional capable of overseeing nursing operations across multiple care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing management experience, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, patient care quality, and team supervision. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead clinical teams in diverse settings while ensuring the delivery of exceptional resident-centered care. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for nursing services across various healthcare environments, including long-term care facilities, home health agencies, and hospice programs. Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans tailored to residents' needs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations such as Medicare and long-term care standards. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct caregivers, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and professional development. Oversee documentation review processes to ensure accuracy in medical records, medical terminology usage, and adherence to HIPAA privacy standards. Manage staffing schedules and shift assignments to ensure optimal coverage while maintaining regulatory compliance and quality standards. Monitor clinical performance metrics related to patient care outcomes, MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, memory care protocols, and physiology knowledge. Ensure compliance with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of medical records, care plans, and regulatory reporting. Lead efforts in regulatory compliance audits and inspections by state or federal agencies to maintain accreditation status. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care quality initiatives focusing on patient safety, memory care strategies, and long-term care regulations. Promote a positive work environment that emphasizes leadership in nursing administration, managing care facility teams effectively. Requirements Proven management experience within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or similar long-term care environments. Extensive nursing leadership background with supervising experience in diverse healthcare settings such as home health or hospice. Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations, long-term care statutes, HIPAA compliance, and regulatory standards governing healthcare facilities. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation review and medical records management. Demonstrated expertise in resident's , MDS assessments, and developing individualized care plans. Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles related to patient care. Leadership skills with experience managing clinical teams through effective supervision and administrative oversight. Ability to navigate complex documentation review processes while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with shift management capabilities ensuring continuous quality patient care delivery.
