• Infection Preventionist/ADON (RN) The Infection Preventionist collects, analyzes, and provides infection data and trends to nursing staff and health care practitioners, consulting on infection risk assessments, prevention, and control strategies, providing education and training; implementing evidence-based infection control practices, including those mandated by regulatory and licensing agencies, and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); and monitoring antibiotic utilization which supports antibiotic stewardship activities.

Requirements Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with a current Illinois License; BSN preferred, but not required 1-3 years clinical experience preferred, but not required Experience in infection control in long-term care or other healthcare settings Demonstrate knowledge of principles related to infection prevention and control Ability to work collaboratively with staff members and external organizations Excellent communication and customer service skills Infection Preventionist/ADON (RN) can start as early as
