Job Summary The Director of Nursing Services is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing operations within skilled nursing care settings. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality resident care through effective management, compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing management experience, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of medical records, documentation review, and healthcare systems to support optimal resident outcomes. Responsibilities Lead and manage nursing staff across various shifts, ensuring effective shift management and staffing levels. Develop, implement, and oversee individualized care plans aligned with residents' needs and regulatory standards. Supervise and evaluate nursing personnel, providing mentorship and ongoing training to maintain high standards of care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, Medicare requirements, and other healthcare policies related to medical records and documentation review. Oversee the use of EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation, resident records management, and reporting purposes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care, including assessments related to physiology and anatomy knowledge. Maintain quality assurance by monitoring clinical practices, conducting audits, and implementing improvements as needed. Manage resident's records in accordance with federal and state regulations while safeguarding confidentiality. Stay current on industry standards related to assisted living, nursing home operations, hospice care, and home health services. Support compliance with Medicare guidelines and ensure proper documentation for billing and reimbursement processes. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state licensure required. Extensive experience in nursing homes, or similar healthcare environments; supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation review processes. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with healthcare management software. Demonstrated leadership skills with previous nurse management or supervising experience; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively. In-depth understanding of HIPAA regulations, Medicare policies, and healthcare compliance standards. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to resident care needs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop care plans collaboratively with residents and staff. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping. Pay:

$130,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
