Ellicott City Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate, organized, and clinically strong Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. In this key role, you will partner with the Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department, support staff development, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote exceptional resident care. What You'll Do Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the daily operations of the nursing department. Provide leadership, coaching, and support to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives. Support infection prevention and control programs. Participate in QAPI, risk management, and regulatory compliance activities. Assist with survey preparedness and responses to state and federal inspections. Investigate incidents and resident concerns and implement corrective actions. Oversee clinical documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care. Serve as the Director of Nursing in their absence.
Qualifications Required:
Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting. Minimum of one (1) year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Previous experience as an ADON, Unit Manager, Nurse Supervisor, or related nursing leadership role. BSN preferred. Experience with electronic medical record systems.
