About the Opportunity A busy skilled nursing and long-term care community is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead and strengthen its nursing operations. The facility handles a significant amount of Medicare Part A , creating a fast-paced clinical environment with frequent admissions and discharges. The incoming DON must understand the demands of skilled nursing and know how to create consistency and accountability in a high-volume environment. The facility is also focused on reducing its current reliance on agency staffing, making recruitment, retention, staff development, and nursing stability major priorities. This is not a maintenance-only DON opportunity . We're looking for an experienced nursing leader who can stabilize the department, build a strong leadership structure, improve clinical and operational performance, and create sustainable long-term change. What We're Looking For We're interested in a DON who has been through challenging situations before and can demonstrate what they did to improve them. The strongest candidates will have experience with: Skilled nursing and long-term care leadership Facility turnaround and stabilization Nursing operations and accountability Survey readiness and regulatory compliance Clinical quality improvement Staff recruitment and retention Reducing agency and traveler utilization Census growth and operational performance Developing strong nursing leadership teams Mentoring ADONs and Nurse Managers High-volume admissions and discharges Long-term culture improvement Previous Director of Nursing experience is strongly preferred. We're particularly interested in candidates who can provide specific examples of facilities they've improved, nursing teams they've stabilized, agency utilization they've reduced, survey outcomes they've strengthened, or other measurable clinical and operational results. $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
