Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional healthcare services to our residents. The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations, manage a team of skilled nursing professionals, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership:

Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient care. Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care. •Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and the coordination of care services. Overseeing resident wound care, and infection control practices Assume the role of the Director of Nursing in the absence of the Director of Nursing (DON) 2.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor and improve quality of care. Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and surveys. 3.

Quality Improvement:

Identify areas for improvement and implement quality assurance initiatives to enhance resident care. Analyze data and trends to develop and implement action plans for continuous improvement. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and job satisfaction. 4.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., social services, rehabilitation, dietary) to ensure comprehensive care plans that address the holistic needs of residents. Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 2 years of progressive leadership experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of nursing regulations, standards, and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
