Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resident Care Director to lead our long-term care community. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of resident care, regulatory compliance, and team management within assisted living, nursing home, or hospice environments. As the Resident Care Director, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality care, ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, and foster a compassionate environment that promotes residents' well-being and dignity. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining operational excellence and elevating the standards of care provided. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans that align with residents' needs, preferences, and regulatory requirements. Supervise and coordinate nursing staff and care teams, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal patient care delivery. Ensure compliance with all long-term care regulations, Medicare standards, HIPAA privacy rules, and state-specific licensing requirements. Oversee documentation review processes including medical records, care documentation, and electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems) to maintain accuracy and completeness. Manage staffing schedules and shift assignments to ensure consistent coverage while maintaining quality standards in patient care. Facilitate communication with residents' families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams to promote transparency and collaborative care. Lead efforts in regulatory audits, quality assurance initiatives, and continuous improvement programs to uphold the facility's reputation for excellence. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, memory care needs, and long-term care regulations to support clinical decision-making. Skills Extensive experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or hospice care environments with a strong background in nursing administration. Proven supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams within long-term care or home health agencies. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for documentation review and medical records management. Familiarity with Medicare regulations, Medicaid policies, HIPAA compliance, and long-term care facility standards. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team culture focused on resident-centered care. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents' families, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies. Deep understanding of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and clinical documentation practices. Ability to manage multiple priorities across shift management while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality service delivery. $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
