Job Description

AOM Healthcare is seeking an experienced Travel Director of Nursing to provide clinical leadership and operational support across its skilled nursing facilities throughout Ohio. This role is designed for a strong DON who thrives in dynamic environments and can step into facilities as needed to provide leadership, support transitions, assist with survey readiness, and strengthen clinical operations. The ideal candidate has a proven track record as a Director of Nursing within the skilled nursing setting and is comfortable traveling between multiple buildings. Key Responsibilities Provide interim DON leadership and clinical oversight as needed Support facilities during leadership transitions, surveys, and operational challenges Maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance Drive Quality Measures and reduce rehospitalizations Mentor and support nursing leadership teams including ADONs, Unit Managers, and MDS staff Assist with staffing, scheduling, and labor management initiatives Partner with Administrators and regional leadership to improve clinical outcomes Conduct clinical audits and identify opportunities for improvement Qualifications Active Ohio RN license required Prior Director of Nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility required Strong survey history and regulatory knowledge Experience managing subacute and long-term care populations Ability to travel extensively throughout Ohio Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills What's Being Offered Competitive compensation aligned with experience Mileage reimbursement and travel support Regional leadership exposure across a growing organization Opportunity to impact multiple facilities and clinical teams Long-term growth potential within the organization Travel Expectations Home base within Ohio Expected to support facilities throughout the state as operational needs arise Regular travel between buildings required, including temporary assignments at facilities needing leadership support IND456
