Job Description

Aventura at Carriage Inn is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team in a long-term care setting. This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining high standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all nursing operations within the facility Ensure compliance with NYS DOH regulations, CMS guidelines, and facility policies Lead and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Manage staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflows Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives (QAPI) Collaborate with administration and interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes Prepare for and manage state surveys and audits
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Prior experience as a DON or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in long-term care preferred Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process Proven leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities
