Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team within a vibrant behavioral healthcare environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, and maintaining compliance with OMHAS and CARF regulations. The Nurse Director will foster a collaborative atmosphere, promote best practices in nursing management, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client outcomes and staff satisfaction. Duties Lead and supervise nursing staff across various locations, ensuring high standards of care and efficient management Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to clients' individual needs, incorporating medical terminology and physiology knowledge Oversee documentation review processes for medical records, ensuring accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to EHR systems standards Supervise the use of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping Conduct regular audits of medical records and documentation review to maintain regulatory compliance and quality assurance Provide leadership in nursing administration by supervising staff performance, managing staffing schedules, and fostering professional development Ensure all nursing activities comply with HIPAA guidelines and uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality Stay current with industry compliance policies Skills Extensive knowledge of nursing practices within behavioral health and addiction Proven management and supervising experience in a behavioral healthcare environment with strong nurse management skills Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation management Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare regulations, documentation review processes, and compliance standards such as HIPAA Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in numerous clinic locations Knowledge of medical records management practices aligned with healthcare regulations Management Experience Join us as a Director of Nursing if you are eager to lead with passion, uphold the highest standards of nursing excellence.
