Job Description
Director of Nursing (DON) / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Assisted Living Community - NW Portland Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM RN Required | Assisted Living Management Experience Required We are seeking an experienced RN to join the leadership team of a well-established Assisted Living community serving approximately 55 residents . This is a great opportunity for an RN looking to move into or continue in a clinical leadership role without the typical demands of a traditional skilled nursing facility. Director of Nursing (DON) The DON is the overall clinical leader for the Assisted Living/Residential Care community.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the nursing team, including RNs and LPNs Provide clinical oversight to caregivers and medication staff Oversee resident assessments and care/service plans Monitor and follow up on changes in condition Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation Review and respond to incidents, including falls and other resident concerns Monitor residents for changes involving nutrition, skin integrity, mobility, behavior and cognition Oversee medication administration, treatments and related documentation Ensure compliance with Oregon regulations and facility policies Support quality assurance, audits and regulatory requirements Participate in leadership and management meetings Participate in the Manager on Duty/on-call rotation as required ⭐Important:
No delegations are required for this position. Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) The ADON works closely with the DON to support the day-to-day clinical operations of the community.Key Responsibilities:
Assist the DON with daily nursing operations Support and supervise RNs, LPNs and care staff Assist with resident assessments and care/service plans Follow up on changes in condition and resident concerns Ensure accurate charting and documentation Monitor falls, skin issues, nutrition, mobility and other clinical concerns Assist with medication and treatment compliance Help ensure care staff are following resident care plans Respond to resident and family clinical concerns Assist with audits, quality assurance and regulatory compliance Support staffing and clinical problem-solving Step in for the DON when needed Participate in leadership/on-call responsibilities as required ⭐Important:
