A well-established senior living and skilled nursing community in Columbia, South Carolina is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (RN) to lead nursing operations and ensure exceptional resident care. This leadership position is ideal for a clinically strong, peoplefocused nurse leader who enjoys developing teams, maintaining regulatory excellence, and creating a positive environment for both residents and staff. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department. Balance resident care responsibilities with administrative oversight to ensure high quality outcomes. Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop nursing staff to build a collaborative and high-performing team. Manage employee health requirements, including physicals, TB screenings, immunizations, and drug testing. Develop staffing plans that align with resident care needs while effectively managing daily scheduling and resources. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and nursing licensure requirements. Lead quality improvement initiatives and prepare the team for state surveys through education and ongoing readiness. Foster a resident-centered culture focused on safety, dignity, and quality of life. Partner with interdisciplinary teams to continuously improve clinical services and resident satisfaction. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina. Current CPR certification. Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership or clinical supervisory experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or senior living setting. Experience with electronic medical record systems; PointClickCare experience is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and regulatory compliance skills.
