BrightStar Care of Spartanburg, Greenville and Easley/Piedmont We are urgently hiring a Director of Nursing who will lead the oversight of care delivery and ensure the overall quality of services provided by our home care/home health company. As the Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in training and supervising our direct care staff, working closely with the leadership team to uphold BrightStar Care's promise of delivering a higher standard of premium person-centered care, ranging from companion level services to skilled care.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and assess client care needs through the assessment process and implement appropriate plans of care and supervisory processes. Effectively communicate with families, community partners, and healthcare providers to ensure the adequacy of services provided and proper supervision of staff. Prepare clinical and progress notes, as well as summaries of care. Promote home health referrals within the healthcare community. Oversee the maintenance of client clinical records, statistics, reports, and evaluation records. Assist in developing organizational goals and recommend company policies and procedures. Continuously assess the skills and competencies of the care staff to ensure high-quality care and performance. Supervise, educate, and coach nursing personnel and care-giving staff. Plan and implement in-service and training programs. Ensure nurse/clinical oversight by providing clinical orientation to new hires and ensuring completion of company-required competency tests. Stay informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care, and share relevant information with appropriate personnel. Provide direct patient care within the scope defined by the state's nurse practice act.

Requirements:

Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing required. Current unrestricted RN license in the state of South Carolina. Minimum of one (1) year of documented clinical experience required, with three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience preferred, including at least one (1) year in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility. One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a leadership role. CPR certification (ARC) and current physical or

T.B./PPD

test, if applicable. Licensed driver with reliable, insured transportation. Clean motor vehicle record, background check, and criminal record. Understanding of compliance with state and federal regulations. Adherence to HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain client confidentiality. Joint Commission experience is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Travel required for sales, marketing, client care service needs, and attending conferences and planning meetings. Contact with clients under various circumstances. Availability to respond to emergency situations. Potential exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM). Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance may be required depending on the client's abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
