Director of Nursing Responsibilities Direct, coordinate, and manage all nursing services within the skilled nursing facility Lead and support Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and nursing leadership staff Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care and skilled nursing facilities Monitor and improve clinical quality measures, infection prevention initiatives, survey readiness, and resident outcomes Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and best practices Collaborate with physicians, therapists, department leaders, residents, and family members to ensure excellent care delivery Recruit, develop, mentor, train, and retain nursing team members Manage staffing, scheduling, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives Oversee care planning, documentation, clinical programs, risk management, and regulatory compliance Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, compassion, and resident-centered care Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey processes, infection control, quality measures, and long-term care operations Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and team-building skills Demonstrated ability to implement clinical programs, policies, and procedures that support quality resident care Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Why Join Weakley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center?
