POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee resident care, nursing services, and related staff for Memory Support and Assisted Living. Lead Memory Support and Assisted Living and ensure the health and well-being of residents. Stay current on all relevant personal care policies, procedures, and regulations, and provide management and training to staff.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for hiring, managing, and evaluating Memory Support and Assisted Living nursing and personal care staff. Assist with Memory Support and Assisted Living staff training. Director of TB and Infection Control program for the campus. Approve staffing schedule for Memory Support and Assisted Living nursing and personal care staff. Perform staff observations in accordance with Memory Support and Assisted Living staff training protocol. Evaluate and revise nursing and personal care policies and procedures as needed. Implement nursing and personal care policies and procedures, and address instances when policies and procedures are not followed. Assume a clinical role as a Memory Support or Assisted Living nurse when scheduled or when nursing shifts need to be covered. Co-Lead care plan meetings with families and residents. Work directly with residents in order to evaluate needs and services Identify resident clinical issues and significant changes in resident status. Communicate, as needed, with residents and their families to ensure that needs are being met Participate in weekly Leadership meetings. Prepare nursing budget and adhere to budget. Maintain regular and timely attendance. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Active R.N. License through the State of Tennessee required. Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Science in Nursing. Ability to take vital signs and perform CPR Significant dementia experience required, preferably in a supervisory role. Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations. Basic computer skills (MS Word, excel, Outlook). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Available by phone or pager at all times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
