Harmony Care at Giddings is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all nursing operations, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and a positive work environment for our dedicated team. What You'll Do Provide leadership and direction for all nursing services within the facility. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Promote a culture focused on quality care, resident satisfaction, and clinical excellence. Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing nursing team. Partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to achieve operational and clinical goals. Monitor quality measures, infection prevention, and survey readiness. Manage staffing, scheduling, labor utilization, and department budgets. Lead quality improvement initiatives and implement best practices. Foster strong communication with residents, families, physicians, and staff. Create a positive, collaborative work environment built on accountability and respect. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas. Previous Nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred. Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey process, and clinical operations.
