Day Hours and MDS Coordinator Duties Supervision and Direction:

The Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor receives general supervision from the Director of Nursing Services (DON). The Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will supervise the licensed nurses and the nursing assistants in the overall care of residents. The Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will comply with established policies and operational procedures. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will accept advice and instruction from the Administrator.

Educational/Licensing Requirements:

RN This position requires the candidate be a graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing and licensed in good standing.

Must possess:

Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or a compact state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact. Current CPR certification, or acquire CPR certification within 60 days of hire.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of health-related programs, services and activities that enhance, promote and maintain resident health independence. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services, the Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will supervise the facility and provide hands-on care when indicated. In addition, the Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will maintain departmental schedules and records in order to assure compliance with guidelines, rules, and regulations of the facility's governing board and/or licensing agencies. Qualifications Current Virginia RN license CPR certification or ability to acquire within 60 days Experience in senior care is preferred Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 lbs. and to bend, crawl, stoop, push, and lift in order to deliver care and services as needed. Practices safety procedures and complies with established reporting of accidents and injuries.

•Sign-on bonuses are offered in incremental payments over a 24-month period for full-time positions only.
