We're seeking a seasoned professional with a passion for nursing leadership to join our team as a Director of Nursing in Portsmouth, VA .
Responsibilities:
Provide visionary leadership to the nursing team, focusing on clinical excellence, quality care, and staff development Oversee daily operations, including patient care, staffing, and budget management Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care Foster a positive work environment, promoting open communication, teamwork, and collaboration Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including facility management, physicians, and other healthcare providers Participate in survey preparedness and clinical operations oversight Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to start quickly and provide stable leadership to the nursing team
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting Active and unrestricted RN license Strong leadership and team management skills Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements Experience with survey preparedness and clinical operations oversight Ability to start quickly and provide stable leadership to the nursing team 1099 independent contract position with weekly pay ranging from $2,000-$2,200
