Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to provide support to to the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical all clinical operations within our 90‑bed skilled nursing facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring high‑quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and smooth daily nursing operations. The ADON serves as a clinical leader, mentor, and problem‑solver, helping maintain excellence across the nursing department. Our client is an established and growing long-term care organization that acquired four senior care communities in 2018 and 2019, including two Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and two Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs). The organization is committed to providing exceptional resident care while supporting its clinical leaders with a strong corporate infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management Assist the DON in managing and supervising RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other clinical staff. Provide leadership during daily clinical operations, including morning stand‑ups and interdisciplinary meetings. Serve as acting DON in their absence, ensuring continuity of care and operations. Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a resident‑centered culture. Clinical Oversight Support resident assessments, care planning, documentation, and clinical interventions. Monitor clinical outcomes such as falls, pressure injuries, infections, and rehospitalizations. Assist with implementing quality improvement initiatives and corrective action plans. Ensure adherence to evidence‑based practices and facility policies. Regulatory Compliance Help maintain compliance with CMS, state regulations, and facility standards. Participate in survey readiness activities and assist with audits and inspections. Contribute to developing and executing plans of correction. Staff Development & Training Assist with hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and evaluating nursing staff. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and support disciplinary processes. Ensure staff competency, ongoing education, and compliance with mandatory training. Resident & Family Engagement Foster a compassionate and responsive environment for residents and families. Address concerns promptly and professionally. Participate in care conferences and communicate changes in condition or care plans. Operational & Administrative Duties Assist with scheduling, staffing plans, and resource allocation. Support accurate documentation, reporting, and EHR utilization. Collaborate with the DON, Administrator, and other department leaders to meet facility goals. Qualifications Active RN license in the state of Milwaukee Minimum 2-3 years of nursing leadership experience in long‑term care, SNF, or related setting. Strong understanding of CMS regulations, MDS processes, and SNF clinical standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as an ADON, Unit Manager, or Charge Nurse in a skilled nursing facility. Experience with EHR systems commonly used in SNFs. Background in QAPI or quality improvement initiatives.

$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
