Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Director of Rehabilitation to lead our rehabilitation department. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in rehabilitation medicine, clinical team leadership, and healthcare management. As the Director of Rehabilitation, you will oversee all aspects of rehabilitation services, ensuring the delivery of patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and fostering a positive work environment for staff. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all rehabilitation programs, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services. Supervise and mentor clinical staff, promoting professional development and ensuring high standards of patient care. Develop and implement policies that align with rehabilitation regulations and best practices in skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized treatment plans that optimize patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to manual handling, heavy lifting, and physiotherapy procedures. Oversee staff scheduling, resource allocation, and operational workflows to maximize efficiency. Maintain thorough knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and patient rehabilitation techniques to guide clinical decision-making. Foster a collaborative environment that supports staff engagement and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications PT, OT, SLP, PTA, or COTA license is a must. Extensive experience in rehabilitation medicine with a strong background in skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation center settings. Proven leadership skills in clinical team management within acute care or long-term care environments. Knowledge of rehabilitation regulations, patient care standards, and healthcare compliance requirements. BLS/CPR Demonstrated proficiency in physiotherapy techniques, manual handling, and heavy lifting safety procedures. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or visual impairments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and patient rehabilitation processes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Wage is dependent on discipline and experience. $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
