Worcester Rehab is a 146-bed skilled nursing facility. Must be an OT, PT, or SLP. Salaried role ranging from $50 to $60 an hour, depending on license and experience, with weekly pay. In this department head role, you are responsible for the overall administration, clinical planning, development, marketing, and operations of the rehab program within the facility. You manage and direct staff in the provision of program services to patients, residents, and clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's, as required for initial professional preparation, in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech/Language Pathology. Two (2) to four (4) years of clinical experience required. One (1) to two (2) years of supervisory experience with multi-disciplines preferred.
Duties:
Ensures that the quality and appropriateness of patient care meets or exceeds company and industry standards and ensures that all Rehab services are in compliance with state and federal legal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines. Directs and assesses the scheduling of patients/residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care. Participates in team meetings to formulate treatment plans, discuss progress and discharge planning, and attends family/care giver conferences as needed or appropriate. Reviews therapist documentation practices for clarity, conciseness and consistency with patient outcome goals and payor expectations. Maintains a clinical caseload. Generates and analyzes financial, operational and productivity reports as required; contributes to the development of the annual operating and capital budget. Ensures that weekly and monthly statistics, patient outcome data, and billing logs are accurate, complete, and reported timely. Maintains sufficient staffing by responding to changes with impact on staffing needs. Supervises program staff in daily program operations and clinical activities; monitors staff efficiencies and routinely provides feedback. Continuously promotes interdisciplinary, clinical reasoning skills and best practices within rehabilitation. Initiates the coordination of program development activities with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Medical Director and other department directors for the purpose of introducing new and relevant services for the persons served and the community.
