Job Description:

Plans and directs the operational, budgetary and personnel activities of the Respiratory Care and EEG Departments. Develops services, policies, procedures, resource plans, and coordinates department programs, services and activities with other departments and services to meet overall hospital goals and objectives. Responsible for management and supervision of department staff.

Required Skills:

1. Ability to plan and execute a full range of administrative tasks in operating a large and complex department. 2. Ability to analyze complex problems and situations and realize potential effects of proposed actions. 3. Knowledge of budget preparation, purchasing bookkeeping and personnel management.

Required Experience:

Work Experience:

Five years of experience in clinical respiratory care required. Five years of management/supervisor experience required. Licensure /Certification Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Current Texas Respiratory Care License. Current CPR Certification. ACLS Certification within one year of being in the position.

Education and Training:

Graduate of an approved AMA Respiratory Care Program required. Bachelor's degree in Allied Health Administration preferred.
