This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. The EEG Technologist will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic evaluations and patient care. Duties Conduct EEG tests on patients, ensuring proper electrode placement and monitoring of brain activity. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Monitor vital signs during testing to ensure patient safety and comfort. Maintain equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly before and after procedures. Document test results accurately and efficiently, providing detailed reports for physician review. Collaborate with medical staff to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans. Stay updated on advancements in EEG technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities. Skills Proficient in medical terminology related to neurology and diagnostics. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy, particularly concerning brain function. Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and practices. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately under pressure. Competence in monitoring vital signs during procedures. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams. The EEG Technologist position is integral to delivering high-quality patient care through precise diagnostic testing. Candidates should be detail-oriented, compassionate, and ready to contribute positively to the healthcare environment.

Pay:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
