Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking an EP Technician to support cardiac electrophysiology procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment. In this role, you'll prepare procedure rooms, operate specialized EP and mapping equipment, assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cases, and monitor patient status and hemodynamics. You'll ensure accurate documentation, maintain radiation safety and infection control standards, and support device implants and testing. Working closely with cardiologists, nurses, and technologists, you'll contribute to exceptional, patient-centered care while advancing your skills with ongoing training and development. Responsibilities Prepare EP labs, equipment, and supplies for procedures Operate EP recording, mapping, and stimulator systems Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional EP procedures Monitor and document patient hemodynamics and rhythm changes Support cardiac device implantation, testing, and troubleshooting Maintain radiation safety and infection control standards Ensure accurate procedure documentation and data entry Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and technologists Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Electrophysiology lab procedures Operation of EP recording and mapping systems Cardiac rhythm interpretation Hemodynamic monitoring Radiation safety practices Infection control in procedural settings Cardiac device implantation support Medical documentation and EMR use Basic equipment troubleshooting Interdisciplinary clinical teamwork
