Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Non-Certified EEG Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting neurological assessments and patient care within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in neurodiagnostic procedures, contribute to critical diagnostic evaluations, and work alongside experienced medical professionals. Duties Assist with the setup and operation of electroencephalogram (EEG) equipment to record brain activity for diagnostic purposes Prepare patients by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring comfort throughout testing Monitor vital signs and observe patient responses during EEG procedures to ensure safety and optimal data quality Collect, document, and organize neurophysiological data accurately for review by physicians or neurologists Support emergency procedures by recognizing signs of distress or neurological emergencies such as seizures or trauma-related symptoms Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of EEG equipment, adhering to infection control protocols Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate diagnostic evaluations in various clinical settings including Level I Trauma Centers, neurocritical care units, and emergency departments Experience Basic knowledge of physiology, neuroanatomy, and medical terminology to understand neurological assessments and patient needs Prior experience working in a Level II trauma center or emergency medicine environment is highly preferred Familiarity with CT (Computed Tomography) imaging processes is a plus for understanding imaging referrals and diagnostics Experience supporting neurocritical care or working within a Level I Trauma Center enhances your ability to handle complex cases with confidence Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring, emergency response protocols, and diagnostic evaluation procedures is essential Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a positive, energetic attitude toward patient care and team collaboration This role is paid and designed for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in neurodiagnostics while making a meaningful difference in patient lives. Pay:
$29.61 - $35.66 per hour
