1 Description American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with a minimum of 3 recent years of experience in a level 1 trauma or teaching hospital epilepsy monitoring unit, including SEEG and SPECT experience. Details Level 1 trauma, teaching hospital setting within an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Work settings include Adult ICU, Adult Inpatient, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, NICU, and PICU Perform procedures such as ECI Brain Death studies, electrode placement, long-term/video monitoring, portable recording, seizure studies, and sleep deprived EEGs Uses Epic charting system Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with some weekend coverage No on-call requirements Travelers required to float as needed Requirements Minimum of 3 recent years of experience in a level 1 trauma and/or teaching hospital or similar facility with SEEG (stereo) and SPECT experience in an epilepsy monitoring unit Graduate of an approved school in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation BLS required R.EEGT certification preferred; license required if applicable Pediatric experience preferred Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm identification Additional Information Magnet-designated academic medical center ranked as the top hospital in the state Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted First-time travelers not accepted for this role
