Job Description

LifeLine Ambulance Illinois - Pay Rate Starting at: $25-$30 per hour range based on experience.
The Opportunity :
LifeLine Ambulance is seeking a qualified EMT Lead Instructor for its EMS academy. The EMT Lead Instructor works directly under the Director of Education instructing EMT classes. EMT Lead Instructor is responsible for planning, scheduling, instructing the classes, and arranging guest speakers/instructors/tutors for the program.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily class activities Manage the learning environment Monitor student attendance Provide evaluations and feedback to students, course coordinator, and medical director Manage discipline and grievance issues Maintain records as required by EMS system, Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Deliver didactic content, direct and control classroom discussions, conduct practical skills development sessions, evaluate student performance on cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills Grade quizzes, tests, projects and homework assignments Design/develop and effectively use testing instruments Mentor students and instructors Adhere to the course syllabus Design/develop and effectively use lesson plans Maintain office hours and participate in department meetings and seminars Requirements Current IDPH EMT-B or Paramedic licensure Current IDPH Lead Instructor licensure and National Association of Emergency Medical System Educators (NAEMSE) Instructor, Part I Certification A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a licensed EMT-B or Paramedic Previous EMT-B or EMT-P teaching experience (American Heart Association) BLS Instructor Certification (preferred but not required) Must be personable with good organizational and communication skills Must have the ability to work in a fluid environment and demonstrate improvisational skills Demonstrates a working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and other related areas Keeps a flexible schedule in order to be available when needed Must be able to present information to adult learners in a controlled environment What we offer: Competitive Pay, PTO, overtime opportunities A variety of elective benefits including Medical, dental, and Vision insurance, and 401K Tuition reimbursement Uniforms On-site continuing education Family culture environment based on open communication EMS career advisers LifeLine is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating and maintaining a diverse workforce: Minorities/Females/ Disabled/Veterans.
