Job Title:
Onsite Medical Representative (Penns Grove, NJ) Job Description The Onsite Medical Representative plays a key role in supporting workplace health and safety by providing first aid, medical guidance, and wellness advocacy to associates at a busy operational site. This position works closely with the Workplace Health & Safety team to proactively manage occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, coordinate workers compensation and return-to-work programs, and promote a culture of safety and well-being. The role combines hands-on medical care, safety coaching on the operations floor, and thorough documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality support for the workforce. Responsibilities Independently assess and administer first aid to associates for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Provide timely referrals to outside medical providers when additional care is needed. Minimize the risk of injury for associates through awareness, education, and proactive engagement on the operations floor. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all care provided to associates. Coordinate and maintain workers compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries. Prepare and submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports to support effective case management and site operations. Regularly engage with associates and site leadership on the operations floor to provide coaching and feedback on observed at-risk work habits and body mechanics. Maintain a clean and organized medical workspace and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is monitored and replenished as needed. Participate in training and certification activities to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes for associates. Maintain all required first aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support credentials in good standing. Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, to support site operational needs. Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols in accordance with site procedures. Maintain effective care delivery during emergencies and support emergency response efforts at the site. Attend weekly associate safety committee meetings to contribute medical and safety insights. Greet new hires and provide health, safety, and wellness information through orientation and daily one-on-one interactions. Participate in weekly case management review meetings as needed to discuss ongoing cases and follow-up care. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider. Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification from a Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT); OR in the last year, at least six months of job experience in the military as a Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician; OR current active Athletic Trainer Certification from the Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent state certification. Ability to obtain adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within three weeks of starting if not already held. Strong ability to assess injuries and illnesses and determine appropriate first aid or referral. Attention to detail and accuracy in medical documentation and record keeping. Capability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends. Ability to collaborate effectively with workplace health and safety personnel and site leadership. Comfort working on an operations floor environment, engaging directly with associates. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Penns Grove, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
