Friday-Monday, 11:30 AM-10:00 PM Position Overview The Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is committed to the safety and well-being of employees by providing resources, best practices, and safe work environments. The Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) will work closely with the WHS Site Manager, WHS Specialist, and occasionally the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS) to support onsite health and safety operations. The OMR will provide first aid, assess occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses, support case management, and promote health and wellness among associates. The role also involves maintaining medical records, supporting workers' compensation. The role also involves maintaining medical records, supporting workers' compensation and return-to-work programs, and assisting with emergency response and safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide first aid and make referrals to outside medical providers when necessary. Assess and respond to occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Maintain accurate records of care provided to associates. Support workers' compensation and return-to-work programs. Maintain daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports. Engage with associates and leadership to promote safe work practices and coach on at-risk behaviors. Participate in weekly safety committee and case management meetings as needed. Support new-hire engagement and daily associate interactions. Maintain a clean medical area and ensure adequate medical supply inventory. Participate in and support First Aid, CPR, and AED certification training. Maintain required First Aid, CPR, and AED credentials. Assist with random saliva drug-testing protocols. Provide emergency response support and assist with onsite emergencies. Support WHS and safety operations as needed, including flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Current, valid BLS certification from an approved Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) provider. Must have one of the following: Current valid EMT or Paramedic certification through the Department of Health or NREMT; OR Within the last year, at least 6 months of military experience as a Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician; OR Current active Athletic Trainer certification through the Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent state certification.
Certification Requirement:
Candidates who do not currently hold Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross must obtain the certification within 3 weeks of their start date. Preferred Qualifications Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED training through AHA or American Red Cross. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience supporting industrial wellness programs. Experience with musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and body-mechanics coaching. Experience with OSHA regulations and Workers' Compensation. Proficiency with digital record keeping.
