What to Expect Gigafactory Texas is currently accepting applications for Fire & EMS Technicians. Become part of an all-hazards risk team. During the assigned shift, the Fire & EMS Technician is responsible for responding to medical, fire, technical rescue, and hazardous material related emergencies. The Fire & EMS Technician will support the site day-to-day operations with employee engagement and training. The Fire & EMS Technician will promote continuous improvement of overall Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) processes and systems. What You'll Do Respond to emergencies consistent with fire suppression for a 2,500-acre campus, over 11 million sqft of manufacturing space, a cathode facility, crash test area, wildland space, and growing Respond to confined space, trench, rescue, high-angle rescue, and entrapments. Respond to hazardous material incidents to contain and mitigate life and environmental hazards Provide basic/advanced life support during medical emergencies associate with trauma, chemical exposure, or medical emergencies Collaborate with On Site Medical (OSM) team to ensure the best possible patient care and outcome. Support stakeholders with emergency action plans, emergency drills, and emergency communication Provides detailed verbal, written, and computer reports pertaining to condition and care of patients. Organize, file, and maintain safety documentation (e.g., one note records, pass down logs,); Ensure all support documentation is collected for event reports Maintain a strong presence throughout the site engaging with shop stakeholders and production associates while fostering a robust safety culture. Support EHS Specialists with safety concerns and assist with coordination of safety supplies (first aid kits, eyewash stations, etc.) Safely and efficiently operates emergency response and powered industrial vehicles. Perform confined space inventory, classification, and incident pre-planning. Essential Physical Demands:

Must be comfortable in confined spaces Must be able to lift over 50lbs.
