Operations Manager / Clinical Supervisor Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and clinically skilled Night Shift Paramedic to join our non-emergency medical transportation team. The Paramedic will provide safe, professional medical transportation for patients who require medical monitoring, assistance, or a higher level of clinical support during transport. This position is ideal for a paramedic who values patient care, professionalism, and teamwork and is comfortable working independently during overnight hours. While our services are primarily non-emergency, our patients may have complex medical needs, requiring sound clinical judgment and the ability to recognize and appropriately respond to changes in condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and professional patient care throughout each transport. Assess patients before and during transport and monitor for changes in condition. Provide appropriate basic and advanced life support within the scope of practice and company protocols. Safely assist with patient movement, transfers, loading, and unloading. Operate and monitor medical equipment as appropriate to the patient's needs. Maintain accurate and timely patient care and transport documentation. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, caregivers, healthcare facilities, dispatch, and other members of the care team. Follow all applicable company policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements. Maintain ambulance/transport vehicle readiness, cleanliness, and appropriate medical supplies. Perform routine equipment and vehicle checks at the beginning and end of shifts. Safely operate company vehicles when assigned and comply with all applicable traffic laws and company driving policies. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Respond appropriately to changes in a patient's condition and initiate appropriate emergency procedures when necessary. Coordinate with dispatch regarding scheduled transports, delays, changes in patient condition, and other operational issues. Complete required incident reports and other documentation accurately. Assist with overnight operational duties as needed, including vehicle preparation, inventory, cleaning, and restocking. Represent the company professionally and respectfully at all times.
Qualifications Required:
Current Paramedic certification/licensure applicable to the state of employment. Current CPR/BLS certification. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screening. Ability to safely lift, move, and assist patients and medical equipment. Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a variety of patient-care situations. Reliable attendance and punctuality, particularly for scheduled overnight transports.
Preferred:
Previous experience in EMS, interfacility transportation, long-distance medical transportation, or another patient-care environment. Experience caring for medically complex or mobility-limited patients. Familiarity with non-emergency medical transportation operations and interfacility transfers. Physical Requirements The Paramedic must be able to: Lift and move patients using appropriate equipment and techniques. Assist with stretchers, wheelchairs, stair chairs, and other patient-movement equipment. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods. Safely enter and exit transport vehicles. Work in varying environmental conditions and during overnight hours. Perform clinical duties requiring appropriate strength, mobility, and manual dexterity. Work Environment This is an overnight field-based position . The Paramedic will work in transport vehicles as well as hospitals, nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, private residences, and other healthcare environments. Because this position operates during nighttime hours, the successful candidate must be dependable, alert, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
