FL Freight is a family owned company looking for a part time Class A tractor trailer driver. The shift operates from 6:00pm to 11:00pm Monday thru Friday. The job involves pulling a 47' open trailer from Axton, VA to Greensboro, NC. This is NOT touch free freight. This lane transports salvage auto parts. The drive train components and large part are palletized, however, sheetmetal parts like doors and hoods as well as boxed parts will need to be unloaded by hand. Then the outbound parts from Greensboro to Axton will need to be loaded. This is

position. This is a 1099 position.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate commercial vehicles
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight
• Plan and follow designated routes, ensuring timely delivery of goods
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, reporting any issues or malfunctions
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safe driving practices at all times
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
• Communicate effectively with team members

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Pass drug screening
• Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures is a plus
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is required
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
• Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading of cargo
