Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EVOC/EMT-Basic to join our emergency medical services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality pre-hospital care to patients in various emergency situations. This role requires a compassionate individual who can perform effectively under pressure and is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transport to medical facilities. Providers are sent trips (appointments) the day before and are expected to complete the appointment. (wait and returns for most of them). We are flexible with your days you would like to work but you need to be available for the shift. Times vary for start times. Long Distance Trips are common . Must have EVOC and EMT up to date and CPR . Responsibilities Assess patients' conditions and provide appropriate emergency care, including basic life support. Administer medications as prescribed and perform venipuncture when necessary. Assist in the transport of patients to hospitals, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. Utilize aseptic techniques while handling medical equipment and supplies. Operate emergency vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely arrival at the destination. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care during patient transfer. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided. Perform heavy lifting as required when assisting patients or moving equipment. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in emergency medical services. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences: Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred. Ability to drive emergency vehicles under various conditions. Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) usage. Strong understanding of medication administration procedures. Capability for heavy lifting as part of patient care activities. Commitment to maintaining a high standard of patient care through continuous learning and skill development.
