Job Summary Join our dynamic emergency medical services team as an EMS Clinician, where you will be at the forefront of providing critical care and transportation to patients in need. Whether operating as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), or Paramedic, you will deliver lifesaving interventions, assess patient conditions, and ensure safe transport to healthcare facilities. Your expertise in emergency medicine, trauma care, and patient assessment will be vital to delivering exceptional pre-hospital care across diverse situations. Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical attention and stabilization on scene. Operate emergency vehicles safely through city streets and rural areas, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and trauma evaluations. Manage airway techniques, administer medications via injections or other methods, and operate medical equipment such as DME (Durable Medical Equipment). Execute critical care procedures including airway management, venipuncture, and cardiovascular emergency response. Collaborate with incident command teams during large-scale emergencies or disasters to coordinate patient care and resource deployment. Transport patients efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care, comfort, and safety throughout the journey. Requirements Valid National Registry of EMTs certification as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic with current licensure in good standing. ARC or

AHA BLS CPR

; ACLS or ALS and PALS or PEPP for Paramedics. Ability to obtain Vermont Department of Health EMS license Criminal, protected registry, driving, and CMS OIG background acceptable by BRS and its insurers. Proven skills in trauma medicine, trauma care procedures, neonatal resuscitation procedures, and pediatric emergency care. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and vital signs interpretation. Experience with emergency medicine response protocols. Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely while navigating city streets efficiently; valid driver's license required. Physical capacity for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking during shifts. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to perform complex medical procedures under pressure. Familiarity with medical equipment operation such as monitors, ventilators, and suction devices; experience with medication administration is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and clear documentation of patient information.
