Summary We are seeking a Full-time and Part-time Emergency Room Technician (7am-7pm and 7:00 pm
  • 7:00 am) at Thorek Memorial Hospital.
In this vital role, you will assist in providing immediate care to patients in the emergency department, ensuring their safety and comfort while supporting the medical team in delivering critical services.
Personal Qualities:
Compassionate and patient-focused Quick decision-making and adaptability Physical stamina and strength for lifting/moving patients Flexible to extend shift hours as needed
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures Ability to perform tasks such as: Taking vital signs Assisting with wound care and minor procedures (suturing, post mold) Performing EKGs Drawing blood Transporting patients Monitoring Behavioral Health patients Taking patients from the Waiting Room to Triage Area Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
Experience:
Clinical experience (clinical rotation excluded): 6 months to 1 year of experience in Emergency Department or Acute Care Settings, required Requirements /
Certification:
Emergency Medical Technician
  • Required 1 year EMT experience required
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Required Medical Assistant
  • Required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Required Has certification and experience in Phlebotomy
