Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures Ability to perform tasks such as: Taking vital signs Assisting with wound care and minor procedures (suturing, post mold) Performing EKGs Drawing blood Transporting patients Monitoring Behavioral Health patients Taking patients from the Waiting Room to Triage Area Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situationsExperience:
Clinical experience (clinical rotation excluded): 6 months to 1 year of experience in Emergency Department or Acute Care Settings, required Requirements /Certification:
Emergency Medical Technician- Required 1 year EMT experience required
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant
- Required Medical Assistant
- Required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Required Has certification and experience in Phlebotomy
