Emergency Room Tech Job Summary You are responsible for all basic patient care duties. This includes, but is not limited to, therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty, operation of laboratory equipment, patient discharge, and education. You will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call). Qualifications
LVN, EMT-P
certification or diploma Current
BLS & ACLS
certification (or 60 days upon hire) Current
PALS/ENPC
certification (or 60 days upon hire) High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Completion of company provided laboratory testing education and competency. This job operates in a healthcare setting. ER Technologist must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as radiation, noise, infectious/communicable diseases, blood and blood borne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases and dusts. This position does require working near moving mechanical parts and being exposed to toxic or caustic materials. This position would require moderate noise from phones, computers, printers and medical equipment. The position does require standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, and reaching. The position may also require climbing, kneeling or crouching.
