Tech, Endoscopy/GI- Tech, Glenwood Springs, Colorado Key Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms for gastrointestinal exams such as colonoscopies and EGDs
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopes and related equipment according to infection control standards
- Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures by managing instruments and supplies
- Set up and operate endoscopy equipment, monitors, suction, and light sources
- Monitor patients vital signs and comfort before, during, and after procedures as directed
- Collect, label, and handle specimens accurately for laboratory analysis
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow safety, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
- Turn over procedure rooms efficiently between cases to support patient flow
- Stock and manage supplies, ensuring availability of endoscopy instruments and disposables
