Your expertise will help ensure smooth, efficient, and safe examinations that contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective patient care. Responsibilities Prepare endoscopy equipment, including cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling scopes and accessories to ensure optimal functionality and safety. Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by passing instruments, managing equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment. Monitor patient vitals and comfort levels throughout procedures, providing support as needed to promote safety and ease. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, including patient information, equipment used, and procedural notes for accurate medical records. Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent contamination and promote patient safety. Operate medical imaging devices related to endoscopy procedures, capturing high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation. Support the maintenance of endoscopy suites by managing supplies, inventory, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Qualifications Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to assist effectively during procedures. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to endoscopic practices. Experience with aseptic techniques to maintain sterile fields during procedures. Understanding of medical imaging technology used in endoscopy for capturing diagnostic visuals. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations by recognizing abnormal findings during procedures. Prior experience working in a healthcare setting as an Endoscopy Technician or similar role is preferred. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with medical staff and support patient comfort.
