• + Monitors levels of all endoscopy instruments and supplies.

Follows written procedures for high-level disinfection and chemical and biological monitoring.

+ Performs treatments and procedures within the defined scope of practice.

+ Provides supportive care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and physician. Ensures the endoscopy suite is adequately prepared for procedures.

+ Prepares the room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each endoscopy procedure. Demonstrates competence in the care and accurate handling of specimens.

+ Checks all equipment and instruments needed prior to each procedure to ensure proper functioning. Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for endoscopy procedures. +

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• + Basic computer and keyboarding skills. [Required] + Ability and willingness to work independently as well as in a team environment.
