Gateway Endoscopy Center is seeking a full time GI Technician to add to our outstanding team! Join us for a dynamic full-time opportunity with your choice of working either 4 days or 5 days per week! Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivers safe patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and according to center's policy and procedure. Efficiently and effectively assists physician with procedures. Anticipates physicians' needs both in preparing for procedure and during procedure. Demonstrates ability to meet patients and family's learning needs as identified in the plan of care. Provides appropriate interventions related to safety issues. Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position. Demonstrates proper cleaning and care of the endoscopy equipment Maintains adequate levels of inventory Demonstrates principles of aseptic techniques
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent Certification in Endoscope reprocessing a plus One to three years previous experience in GI Lab a plus Strong Customer Service Skills Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy GI lab environment Must be able to function as a team player Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal #LI-DS1
